The Five Levels of Security in the ClassMembers.org website:

This represents the Site Administrator. This will be an employee of Bryte Software Design (developer and owner of ClassMembers.org) who is very familiar with the site and its operation. The Site Administrator will be responsible for setting up Churches and Church Administrators. He/She will also be responsible for maintaining the site at all times. The Site Administrator has permissions that allow him/her to view and update any/all of the data on the site.

The Site Administrator will be responsible for training the Church Administrator and any people he/she so designates as to how the site works and how to maintain the various pages contained in the site.

This represents the Church Administrator. This will normally be an employee of the church. It is the person who is responsible for all levels of personnel at the church. The Church Administrator may view any information for any member at his/her church. The Church Administrator may also update any information pertaining to members at the Church for which he/she is responsible. He/She cannot view or update information for members at any other church or organization.

The Church Administrator will be the one who is typically responsible for training the various Ministry Administrators and Department Administrators as to how the site works and what their roles are in maintaining the information contained in the site.

This represents the Ministry Administrator. This will be a person who is responsible for a particular ministry at the church. Within this application, this person is subordinate to the Church Administrator and he/she is responsible for one or more Department Administrators within his/her ministry. The Ministry Administrator may view and/or update information for any member in any department in his/her ministry. He/She is not permitted to view and/or update information for members in a department under any other ministry.

The Ministry Administrator may move a Department Member from one department to another and he/she is able to assign a member to multiple departments. The Ministry Administrator is also responsible for assigning the various Department Administrators.

This represents the Department Administrator. This will be a person who is responsible for a particular department at the church. Within this application, this person is subordinate to the Ministry Administrator and he/she is responsible for one or more Members of his/her department. The Department Administrator can update information for any member in his/her department. He/she cannot view or update members of any other department.

The Department Administrator is the one who selects which pages his/her department will see and what the content of those pages will be. Any information entered on the various pages by the Department Members may be modified and/or deleted by the Department Administrator.

This represents a Department Member. This Department Member is one of many members of a particular department. The person may be a member of different departments within several Ministries (e.g. Bible Study Class, Deacons, Choir, etc.). In this org chart this represents one occurrence of a member within a single department.

A person who is a member of several Departments will have one User ID (email address) and password to allow him/her to login to the site. After logging into the site he/she will be given the opportunity to select which of the assigned roles he/she wants to assume. When logged into the site and a role has been assumed he/she will not be permitted to view information for any of the other Departments to which he/she may belong without logging out and logging back into a role within that department.
